CHIMNEY LINING
Flexible Flue Liners
Chimney liners are an important part of a safe and efficient installation. Burning wood on a stove or an open fire can result in the production of tar deposits in the chimney. This tar is difficult to clean and is highly combustible. By installing a chimney liner we can ensure that there is a safe clean passage for the combustion gases between the stove and the outside of your property.
Our flue liners come with a 10-year guarantee. We have used the same flue liners for many years now and have been very happy with their flexibility and ability to handle heavy use. The liners we use are recognised as being the best on the market and we will not compromise on quality or safety by using cheap alternatives.
Incidentally, all our other liner fitting components also come with a 10-year guarantee, have been independently tested and are fully compliant with all current (and some future) Building Regulations.
We review and incorporate current legislation and recommendations regarding chimney lining in thatched properties; give us a call to discuss what we have to do to keep you safe.
We have installed literally thousands of flue liners for our customers. It is an installation that can be carried out generally on the same day as the stove is installed, and will give you piece of mind that your stove has been installed with safety in mind.
Insulated Twin Wall Flue System
The most common new chimney construction system is using a high quality pre-fabricated twin-wall stainless steel chimney
system for use on domestic solid fuel and commercial gas and oil fired appliances. The twin wall system is manufactured from a corrosion resistant 316L stainless steel liner, 25mm high density insulation and 304 grade stainless steel outer casing to ensure many years of service. The system can run internally through a house (through ceilings, floors and lofts) or externally running through a wall (at 45degrees) and up the external building face. Mostly these flues are painted or powder coated to soften visual impact. Twin wall metal flues can be installed relatively quickly and are ideal for closed wood and multi fuel stoves.
Pumice Block Lining
We offer a system that is made from natural volcanic rock - pumice. The block liner system is ideal when constructing a brick clad chimney around the flue. Talk to us about your proposed location of the chimney and we can help you specify which system would suit your design. It is the simplest and most cost effective way of building a chimney.
